The Akashic Records: A Spiritual Internet
What is the realm of Akasha and what are the Akashic Records?
Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘space’, ‘ether’ or ‘primary substance’.
The Akashic Realm is an ‘ethereal’ realm, a non-physical plane of existence.
The Akashic Records are found within this Akashic Realm…
It is widely held to be true across many ancient cultures that all things come from this ‘Akasha’ or ‘primordial substance’ and that matter itself is simply this spirit moving at a slower rate of vibration.
This Akasha is so exquisitely fine and sensitive that the slightest vibration anywhere in the universe will register a permanent impression into this ether, coding the information eternally. This realm therefore contains the memory of every impression and vibration that has occurred since the beginning of time, information of everything… that has ever happened … since the dawn of creation. What does that even mean?
Quite simply: It’s a memory bank. Of everything.
It is most often referred to metaphorically as a library of information (although ‘universal supercomputer’ and ‘mind of god’ are thrown around quite commonly too) and therefore ‘Akashic Library’ is the terminology most often used. This Library exists outside of our conscious awareness, in a higher dimensional plane of existence.
It contains all knowledge of human history and the history of the cosmos. It is a database filled with the memory of every thought, every feeling, every intention, every word and every action of every soul since the beginning of all that is.
Each soul has its very own record within this library from the moment of the soul’s origination – our ‘Akashic Record’– all information about past lives, present lives, and possible future lives exist here. Our own Record is continually re-written based on our choices, our thoughts and emotions; they’re written by our own free will and energetic state in each present moment and at any given moment the energy of our Record calls into potential all possible future experiences.
With me so far? It can be a bit of an abstract concept to wrap your head around the first time you encounter it so think of it this way, simply put:
The Akashic Realm is like a Spiritual/Etheric Internet.
We have to make some revisions to the reality of the Internet for this analogy to work:
- First let’s assume that everything on the Internet is an accurate record of events.
- Next let’s assume that everything can be found on the Internet. Absolutely everything, from the beginning of creation itself.
- Now let’s assume that even thoughts, emotions and intentions can be stored and found on the Internet.
- And finally, we must assume that every single human on the planet is connected to this Internet at all times via a device that automatically uploads all of their actions and energy fluctuations.
In this analogy you can find out absolutely anything and everything about anyone just by looking on the Internet. This is pretty much the Akashic Realm.
Accessing the Realm… aka Logging On
Sounds like an awesome Internet, right? And one that could be very useful for figuring out exactly what’s going on with your life, your energy, your choices…
But what happens in this analogy if you don’t know how to access the Internet? What if you have no clue on how to navigate it? How far could you really get?
Imagine you have a device that is connected to Wi-Fi but you have no safari option… How do you access the information? What if you do manage to connect your device to this information superhighway but then you find you have no search engine or function to help you locate the information you’re looking for? Where do you begin? And how do you even move through the vast database? This is also, pretty much the Akashic Realm.
The information is always there, and you are always connected to it.
Just because you cannot see it, or consciously access it or know how to navigate it to retrieve the information you need does not matter. Others can.
Theoretically everyone has the ability to access and retrieve information from this realm, we are all multi-dimensional beings and no Soul is any more or any less Divine, any more or less connected to it, but not everyone develops control of their consciousness in a way that gives access. We are too often too constrained with the physical realm and lower dimensional consciousness.
Throughout history many people have been able to access this realm and retrieve information to be able to help others on their path, either due to natural intuitive/psychic abilities, or as a result of spiritual disciplines and mind-training techniques aimed at elevating consciousness to access this higher dimensional state.
